High school student hospitalized after car crash outside North Kent College in Oakfield Lane, Dartford

A schoolgirl was taken to hospital after being hit by a car this morning.

The accident occurred shortly after 8am today (September 13) outside North Kent College on Oakfield Lane in Dartford.

The girl is a Year 12 student at the nearby Wilmington Grammar School for Girls in Parsons Lane, Wilmington.

A letter was sent to parents thanking the parents and students who helped and offering support to the students who witnessed the accident.

A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance (SECAmb) said: “SECAmb was called shortly after 8am this morning to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

“Crews assessed and treated a patient at the scene before transporting him to Medway Maritime Hospital for further medical treatment.”

Kent Police were also on site.

A spokesman confirmed: “We were called by the South East Coast Ambulance Service at 8.06am to reports of a collision between a teenager and a car in Oakfield Lane, Dartford.”
