ESPN reportedly won't fire Shannon Sharpe over graphic Instagram Live

After Shannon Sharpe accidentally live-streamed himself having sex with a female companion, fans feared that Club Shay Shay creator might lose his job at ESPN… However, according to sources, Sharpe will not be fired from the network.

TMZ Sports spoke to a source at the network who said Sharpe will remain part of his regular program First attempt next Monday and Tuesday.

On his Nightcap show with Chad Ochocinco, Sharpe revealed that as soon as he realized he had been livestreaming his workout, he called executives at ESPN and The Volume to inform them of the incident.

He also apologized for his actions.

“Of course I'm embarrassed. When someone is so extremely, extremely private and one of their most intimate details – the audio recording – is out there for the whole world to hear, I'm embarrassed for a number of reasons,” Sharpe said.

“A lot of people rely on Shannon to always be professional, and I always try to be professional, even behind closed doors.”
