Munich – FC Bayern are “furious” about the criticism from TV experts Dietmar Hamann and Jamal Musiala. Hamann had in his column at Heaven wrote: “Musiala is more of a solo player and often a solo entertainer. If he gets the ball ten times, he puts his head down nine times and starts dribbling.” And further: “If I could swap Wirtz and Musiala from Bayern's point of view, I would do it tomorrow.”

Musiala issue is top priority at FC Bayern

Nevertheless, those in charge will probably clearly stand behind Musiala in the next few days. The 21-year-old is currently the most important topic behind the scenes at Bayern. According to the report, those in charge, including sporting director Max Eberl, will even be judged on whether an extension of Musiala's contract works out. This expires in the summer of 2026. The Bayern bosses are currently trying to ensure that Musiala feels valued and comfortable in Munich.

It is nothing new that former Bayern professional Hamann has been known to criticize the club and those in charge. The bosses have already publicly fired back at the 50-year-old. After Hamann criticized the then coach Thomas Tuchel, CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen declared: “We will no longer accept such irrelevant statements directed against our coach, which always come from the same corner.”

In the end, however, the club parted ways with Tuchel, and Hamann continued to criticize him – as he did now in the Musiala case.
