One person in hospital after shooting in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – One person is in the hospital following a shooting in Lynchburg Wednesday night, according to Lynchburg police.

According to police, officers responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Park Avenue, where officers found a person with a gunshot wound to the arm.

According to police, the victim was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to preliminary police investigations, it was assumed that the shots were fired from a black sedan.

The incident remains under investigation by the Lynchburg Police Department.
