In a new show on Amazon Prime Video, eight celebrities face a challenge: In “Lights Out,” Pietro Lombardi and Luna Schweiger, among others, experience what it’s like to live in total darkness.

At the end of October, Amazon Prime Video will be turning off the lights for eight celebrities. It is now clear which famous people will take on the challenge of living in complete darkness for five days. The official poster for the new show was shared on Thursday (September 12) on Prime Video Germany's Instagram account.


Pietro Lombardi and Luna Schweiger are there

This shows that Pietro Lombardi (32), among others, is taking part in the daring TV experiment. In addition to the singer, seven other prominent participants are trying to survive 120 hours without light and master various challenges. Also taking part are the presenters Jeannine Michaelsen (42) and Jochen Schropp (45), Til Schweiger's daughter Luna Schweiger (27), the stand-up comedians Negah Amiri (31) and Timur Turga as well as Markus Söder's daughter Gloria Burkandt (25). ) and actor Gedeon Burkhard (55).

Prime Video announced the new reality show back in February. The idea: In “Lights Out,” eight stars have to immerse themselves in absolute darkness for 120 hours. The six episodes are presented by Steven Gätjen and will be available from October 31st.

In the dark, participants must pass various tests and overcome any fear of the dark. According to Prime Video, viewers will be able to follow the event thanks to infrared and night vision camera technology.

The winner won the “Lights Out” trophy

In various competitions, the celebrities can win privileges – such as a short stay in a light room. But the tests could definitely be difficult, after all, everything has to be done in the dark. Even spooning soup could be challenging. Anyone who can no longer stand the darkness should be allowed to leave the show voluntarily at any time.

However, according to Prime Video, whoever lasts the entire time has the chance to win the “Lights Out” trophy. The remaining competitors will decide on the winner. From a control area, presenter Steven Gätjen and psychologist Sandra Sangsari keep an eye on the situation and explain it to the viewer.
