Lavrov: Ukraine will become notorious for nuclear terrorism – Russian politics and diplomacy

MOSCOW, September 12. /TASS/. The regime in Kyiv is increasingly notorious for its nuclear terrorism as Ukraine carries out attacks on civilian energy facilities, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a roundtable on Ukraine with the heads of diplomatic missions.

“Ukraine is notorious for its nuclear terrorism. You have probably heard the reports about [Ukrainian] Attacks and attempted attacks on the Leningrad, Kalinin, Kursk and Zaporizhia nuclear power plants,” he said.

Such action by the Western puppet regime in Kiev “could trigger a catastrophe similar to the one at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which would hit Europe in particular,” warned Lavrov, referring to the Ukrainian attack on the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant on August 11, in which a cooling tower was severely damaged.

In addition, Russia's top diplomat described the situation around the Kursk nuclear power plant as “very tense”. When the Director General of the IAEA [Rafael] Grossi visited the power plant on August 27 and saw for himself the traces of the criminal drone attacks by the Ukrainians. Moreover, Kyiv does not hide the fact that they deliberately attacked the Kursk nuclear power plant,” he concluded.
