Is Palworld coming to PS5? On the list for Tokyo Game Show

Until now, Palworld was only available on PC and Xbox. A new document now gives PlayStation fans a big reason to hope.

Tokyo – When Palworld was released in Early Access on January 24th of this year, the open-world survival crafting game caused quite a stir. Within the first month since its release, more than 25 million PC and Xbox players worldwide enjoyed the mysterious creatures – PS5 owners have so far come away empty-handed. But this year's Tokyo Game Show could change that.

Will Pocket Pair announce the arrival of Palworld on PS5 at Tokyo Game Show 2024?

The document contains a number of games that will be presented or announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2024. In addition to the games, the developers and the respective platform that will participate in the event are also listed.

Palworld also participates: The developers of Palworld, Pocket Pair, can be found on the list – and probably with good news for PS5 gamers. According to the document, Pocket Pair has specified the PlayStation 5 as a target platform for the crafting game. However, it should be noted that this list is not yet final. A sign of life is everything.

If you don’t know Palworld and you’re thinking “that looks like Pokémon,” that might not be a coincidence.

Everything as expected? Pocket Pair announced a partnership with Sony Music Entertainment in July 2024, erm “To promote new developments of Palworld“. However, this partnership does not include any game licenses. If the information in the latest CESA document is correct, then Pocket Pair may have also worked out a deal with Sony to bring Palworld to the PS5. Whether there was any truth to the speculation at the time will only be confirmed by an official announcement.
