Bicycle department is the flagship

Walldürn. At the members' meeting of the “Support Association Eintracht '93” in the clubhouse of Eintracht Süd, the focus is on elections and reports. After the welcome by the chairman Joachim Mellinger and the memorial service, Mayor Meikel Dörr and the chairman of Eintracht '93, Jürgen Mellinger, gave welcoming speeches in which they praised the valuable work of the support association.

According to Mellinger, the support association now has 106 members, 23 years after its founding on May 31, 2001. The main goal is to support the Eintracht '93 sports club and sports in general, both ideologically and financially. The support association also aims to draw attention to itself through campaigns, lectures and events, and thus to develop a “life of its own.”

The importance of financial support since 2001 was demonstrated by the impressive payments to Eintracht Walldürnwhich were generated through advertising revenue, contributions and events. The chairman thanked all supporters of the association.

The flagship is the bicycle department, which comprises around 35 people. On average, ten people took part in the tours. 903 kilometers were cycled per person in 2023, which took the cyclists almost two days in total. The number of participants is high, the number of kilometers is increasing and a larger trip is planned for next year. Treasurer Wolfgang Breunig presented the extensive financial report. The two auditors Johannes Schlegel and Achim Günther confirmed that the bookkeeping was impeccable and exemplary.

After the discharge by Mayor Meikel Dörr, the new elections brought the following result: Chairman Joachim Mellinger, deputy chairman Hanni Kuhn, treasurer Wolfgang Breunig, secretary Rolf Günther, auditors Johannes Schlegel and Achim Günther. Finally, the chairman pointed out the film evening in the autumn “From Cape Town to Dakar” and the awarding of the “bicycle champion” after the cycling season. He concluded by thanking his colleagues on the board and Eintracht Wallürn for their good cooperation. mel
