Joyce explained that her ex-husband Anil Mehta used to sit on the balcony every morning and read the newspaper. Although the couple divorced years ago, they had been living together again for several years. When Joyce noticed his slippers in the living room on Wednesday morning, she went out to the balcony to check on him and discovered the tragic situation.
When Joyce Arora could not find Anil Mehta on the balcony, she leaned forward and noticed the building's security guard calling for help. Joyce rushed down and saw the commotion. According to her statement to the police, Anil Mehta was not suffering from any serious illness and was only suffering from knee pain, which raised further concerns about the incident.
