19-year-old woman arrested for stabbing man in the neck with a broken bottle

The spokesman for the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyinconfirmed the arrest to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Wednesday. He said the incident occurred on Monday, September 9, at about 9.20pm in the Ijegun area of ​​the state.

Hundeyin said the suspect was arrested after the victim’s father complained to Isheri-Osun Division.

“An argument broke out between the suspect and the victim, Faruk Azeez, which ended in a fight.

“During the scuffle, Azeez was stabbed to the neck by the suspect with a broken bottle, causing serious bodily injuries.

“While trying to take his son to the hospital for urgent medical attention, he gave up the ghost,” said the spokesman.

Hundeyin said that investigators from the department visited the crime scene where the lifeless body of Azeez was seen lying on the ground in a pool of blood, with a deep cut on his neck.

The command spokesman said the body had been taken to the Mainland General Hospital in Yaba for autopsy. According to him, investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of Azeez's death.
