Tragic incident: Malaika Arora’s stepfather dies

In a tragic incident on Wednesday morning, Anil Mehta, the stepfather of actor and model Malaika Arora, allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the sixth floor of a building in Mumbai's Bandra area, a police official reported.

Authorities rushed Mehta to a hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival. The exact reason behind the incident is still unknown and an ongoing investigation is underway to determine the cause, police added.

Contrary to initial reports, a source told PTI that Mehta's death was an accident and not suicide. The family is in shock as Mehta had no known medical conditions. The police will ascertain the details, the source added.
