The Fujairah Mountain Shooting Championship returns with a new edition in February 2025

Fujairah Shooting Club announces key dates, parallel events, ambassadors and website launch for the second edition of the Fujairah Mountain Shooting Championship

FUDJAIRA, United Arab Emirates, September 11, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Following the great success of the first edition in 2023, Fujairah Shooting Club has announced the re-launch of the Fujairah Mountain Shooting Championship (FMSC) and the launch of the competition's official website for the second edition. The unique and challenging sporting event will be hosted again in February 2025 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.

The championship, which will take place from February 1 to 8, 2025 in Dibba, Fujairah, UAE, offers challenging layouts, highly interesting parallel events and the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the emirate. The main competition, which will be held from February 5 to 8, features Super Sporting with 240 clay pigeons, a total prize fund of US$300,000 and US$50,000 for 100 'Flash Clays' – special clay pigeons that release coloured powder when hit.

The FMSC 2025 preliminary competitions will take place from February 1 to 4 and will feature 50 English Sporting clays with a total prize fund of US$40,000 across four categories. The opening ceremony is scheduled for February 4 and the awards ceremony is scheduled for February 8, 2025.

The main competition will be held at 24 stands, each with six machines and ten targets, including single and double targets. There will be four days of competition with a total of 240 targets, 60 per day. Competitors will be divided into teams of six who will compete against each other throughout the event.

Highlights of the 2025 edition include parallel events such as pool shooting and English Sporting, which will be hosted from 1-7 February. In addition, the latest edition of the championship is organised with the support of the National Sporting Clays Association and the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association. Ambassadors include George Digweed MBE, a renowned English sports shooter and multiple World and European clay pigeon shooting champion, Phil Gray and Saif Bin Futtais, a sports shooter and five-time Olympian from the UAE.
