Crime in Surrey: Woman charged after ‘targeted’ knife attack

A 36-year-old woman was charged with assault with a weapon and grievous bodily harm.

A woman has been charged with assault after allegedly stabbing a woman in the Surrey district of Whalley.

Shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to a report that a pedestrian had been hit. However, when officers arrived, they found a woman with stab wounds.

The woman was found near 108 Avenue and King George Boulevard with life-threatening injuries. She was taken to the hospital, where she remains.

Sergeant Tammy Lobb says a suspect was immediately arrested nearby.

Jennifer Kipp, 36, has been charged with assault and aggravated assault. She will remain in custody until her next court date on September 13.

The police assume that this was a targeted incident.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.
