Cozy hours on the sofa: From boxing matches to music shows: The TV highlights this autumn

Summer is coming to an end and the TV channels are launching their autumn programme of shows, quiz formats and reality series. An overview.

With the arrival of autumn, many people are spending more time at home again. The television stations are also aware of this and are getting their programs up and running again after the more relaxed summer period. Here are some highlights.

“The Clark Final Fight – Stefan Raab vs. Regina Halmich”

Almost ten years after his last TV appearance, entertainer Stefan Raab (57) returns to TV on September 14th. He will compete in the ring for the third time against former boxing world champion Regina Halmich (47). The event will be hosted by Elton (53), with Frank “Buschi” Buschmann (59) as commentator. The boxing match revival of Raab and Halmich will be broadcast live on RTL. 15,000 spectators are expected for the show match in Düsseldorf's PSD Bank Dome.

“The Lion’s Den”

“The Lion's Den”, which has been broadcast on VOX since 2014, is the German version of the British show “Dragon's Den”. In each episode, founders present their products in the hope that an investor will invest in their company. Judith Williams (52) returned to her usual place as a veteran for the 16th season (every Monday) after a break. The anniversary season also features two original lions for the anniversary episode: Frank Thelen (48) and Jochen Schweizer (67).

“The Superduper Show”

A new show with presenter Katrin Bauerfeind (42) will start in autumn 2024. In “The Superduper Show”, five celebrities each have to create their own mini-show in each episode. They receive the assignments and inspiration for the formats from children. Bill and Tom Kaulitz (35) appear in each episode alongside Annette Frier (50), Edin Hasanović (32) and a guest celebrity. The first of the four episodes will be broadcast by ProSieben on September 17th from 8:15 p.m. (also on Joyn).

“Who's running the show for me?”

The quiz show “Who's stealing my show?” returned on September 8th (every Sunday, 8:15 p.m., ProSieben – one week earlier on Joyn) with its eighth season. In the seventh season, Joko Winterscheidt (45) competed against Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (40), Sarah Connor (44) and Lena Meyer-Landrut (33). This time, musician Nina Chuba (25), entertainer Kurt Krömer (49) and podcaster Tommi Schmitt (35) want to steal the show in six episodes. As always, a viewer takes part in each episode as a wildcard candidate. In the show, the candidates have to prove their knowledge in various quiz categories. Those who make it to the final compete against the presenter. The winner then wins the show and can host the next episode. The final rounds will continue to be hosted by Katrin Bauerfeind.

“Germany is looking for the superstar”

A new season of the long-running casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” starts this autumn. The jury team consisting of Dieter Bohlen (70), Pietro Lombardi (32), Beatrice Egli (36) and Loredana (28) filmed the castings in Europa-Park in Rust. From Wednesday, September 18th, the jury will be looking for the newest superstar. RTL will be showing the new episodes every Wednesday and Saturday at 8:15 p.m. With only 15 episodes, the 21st season is the shortest of “DSDS” to date. Only the finale will be broadcast live. The premiere will be available to watch on the streaming service RTL+ one week before the TV launch.

“The Voice of Germany”

New season, new coaches: The red chairs on “The Voice of Germany” have been filled again. In the 14th season of the music show, Mark Forster (41), Yvonne Catterfeld (44) and Samu Haber (48) are returning as coaches. The fourth member of the team this time is singer-songwriter Kamrad (27) – the first time on “The Voice of Germany” for the “I Believe” singer. The 14th season will again be hosted by Thore Schölermann (39) and Melissa Khalaj (35). The blind auditions start on September 26th (Thursdays at 8:15 p.m. on ProSieben and Fridays at 8:15 p.m. on Sat.1 and both on Joyn).
