Rahul Gandhi launches new attack on RSS in the US because certain states and languages are inferior to others

Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday launched a fresh attack on the Rashtriya Sayamsevak Sangh, saying the organisation considers certain states, languages and religions inferior to others.

The Congress leader made the remarks at a gathering in Virginia as part of his three-day visit to the US. Gandhi said that all states have their own history and tradition, but the RSS ideology considers certain states and languages inferior to others.

“The RSS says that certain states are inferior to other states. Certain languages are inferior to other languages, certain religions are inferior to other religions and certain communities are inferior to other communities,” the Congressman said.

“The whole state has its history and tradition. The ideology of the RSS is Tamil, Marathi, Bengali and Manipuri, which are inferior languages. That is what this struggle is about. These people (RSS) do not understand India,” he added.

He also pointed his guns at the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying they do not understand that this country belongs to everyone. Gandhi reiterated his 2022 stance and said India is a union, but the BJP does not accept this.

“India is a union. It is clearly written in the Constitution… India, that is Bharat, is a union state with a history, tradition, music and dance… They (the BJP) say it is not a union, it is different…” he said.

The LoP sparked an uproar on Monday when he said during his speech in Texas that the “fear” of BJP and RSS “vanished” within minutes of the Lok Sabha election results. Continuing his attack, he said on Tuesday that it took years for them to spread this fear but it vanished within seconds.

“After the elections, something changed. Some people said, 'Dar nahi lagta ab, dar nikal gaya ab' (now we are not afraid, we are free from fear),” he said.

“What is interesting to me is that the BJP and Prime Minister Modi spread so much fear and the pressure from the authorities on small businesses, within seconds it all disappeared. It took years for them to spread this fear and then it disappeared within seconds,” he added.
