Beyonce has revealed that she has taken her daughter Blue Ivy Carter to Renaissance world tour and said the 12-year-old “wanted it for herself.”

The singing superstar's eldest child caused a stir last year when she showed off her dancing skills together with her mother and background dancers.

The 43-year-old has now spoken about how it came about and how he watched the boy “grow” every evening.

In a new interview with GQ MagazineBeyoncé talked about how Carter approached her role and that she only tours when her three children are not in school.

“Blue is an artist,” she said. “She has great taste in music and fashion. She's a fantastic editor, painter and actress.”

“She's been creating characters since she was three. She's a natural, but I didn't want Blue on stage.”

Beyonce continued, “Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she deserved it. And most importantly, she had fun!”

“We all saw her growing more and more before our eyes every night.”
