Lynx vs. Dream WNBA prediction, odds and key players for Tuesday, September 10 (Fade the

The Atlanta Dream continue to squander their chances of securing 8th place in the WNBA. On Sunday, they lost in overtime to the Indiana Fever, leaving them one game behind the Chicago Sky (who also currently hold the tiebreaker between the teams).

Atlanta will look to rebound on Tuesday at home against the W's No. 2 seed, the Minnesota Lynx.

The Lynx won but failed to cover the spread on Sunday against the Washington Mystics, dropping their record to 12-6 against the spread on the road this season.

Minnesota is clearly the better team, but Atlanta has a little more at stake as it has not yet secured a playoff spot.

Let's take a look at the odds, the key players to keep an eye on, and my prediction for Tuesday's contest.

Dream Injury Report

Minnesota Lynx

Napheesa Collier: Collier, an All-Star this season, has been one of the W's best players, averaging 20.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. She had 19 points and 12 rebounds in a win over the Washington Mystics on Sunday. Atlanta held her in check the last time these teams met (16 points on 6 of 17 shooting).

Atlanta Dream

Rhyne Howard: Rhyne Howard's 30-point streak continues. The All-Star guard scored 36 points in an overtime loss to the Indiana Fever on Sunday, her third straight 30-plus point game. During that time, Howard averaged 33.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game, hitting 46.2 percent of her shots from the field and 35.6 percent of her threes.

Atlanta has burned its fingers too many times in the last 10 games for me to trust them to even the spread on Tuesday.

The Dream are just 4-6 in their last ten games and their home record this season is three games under .500.

Minnesota has since proven that it is one of the league's best away teams in the spread and remains No. 2 in the league in net rating.

Although Howard has played for the Dream recently, they only managed a 1-2 draw in those three games and needed overtime to beat the nine-win Dallas Wings.

I can't support Atlanta as a slight underdog on Tuesday.

Selection: Lynx -5.5 (-110)
