NFL and Cleveland Browns' Deshaun Watson sued for further alleged sexual harassment in 2020 | NFL News

A woman in Houston filed a civil lawsuit against Deshaun Watson on Monday, accusing the Cleveland Browns quarterback of sexual assault and battery in October 2020.

The woman, who appears in the lawsuit as “Jane Doe,” claims Watson committed the sexual assault and battery before a dinner at her apartment.

According to the lawsuit, Watson, who was playing for the Houston Texans at the time, met the woman at a local restaurant, got her number and suggested the two meet for a date at a mall. The woman did not want to be in public with Watson, prompting her to suggest dinner at her apartment.

Before Watson even arrived at her home, he called her and yelled at her because he couldn't figure out where she lived, the woman claims. Eventually, he showed up, and the lawsuit says after getting ready in the bathroom, she went to her bedroom where Watson was “completely naked on her bed, face down on her stomach.”

Watson then demanded a massage, pointing to his knees and groin, the lawsuit says. The woman said she was not a massage therapist, but Watson asked her if there was something she would prefer to do instead.

The complaint states that the woman had no time to respond before Watson “partially undressed Jane Doe and penetrated her vagina without her express or implied consent.” After being sexually assaulted for “several minutes,” the woman was able to free herself from Watson and grabbed a heavy object to protect herself.

Watson “furiously stormed” out of the woman's apartment to end their alleged relationship, the lawsuit says.

The NFL declined to comment on the lawsuit, and the Browns have not yet responded for comment.

In 2022, Watson was suspended for 11 games after more than 24 women came forward to accuse him of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior during a massage.

Watson was never charged, but in the summer of 2022 he settled 23 of the 24 civil cases pending against him.

Watson, 28, was traded to the Browns in March 2022. He started Cleveland's 33-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in the season opener on Sunday and completed 24 of 45 passes for 169 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
