Previously, the fire department had spoken of seven slightly injured people. For reasons still unknown, a 38-year-old drove his car into the back of a 51-year-old driving ahead of him on Sunday night. As a result of the collision, the woman's car with two passengers hit the central guardrail and turned 180 degrees. It then came to a stop between the two lanes.

As the incident progressed, both a 36-year-old and a 56-year-old noticed the accident site on the A93 too late, which resulted in two collisions. The police found that the 38-year-old driver of the first car had an alcohol level “far beyond the permitted limit”. He has now lost his driving license for the time being and is facing charges.
