Fans of Joey Essex all say the same thing when he makes a cameo appearance in the Netflix series “Selling Sunset”

Joey Essex is no stranger to television. In fact, the TOWIE star has appeared in over 15 different reality shows throughout his career. After most recently conquering Love Island – as the ITV2 show's first celebrity contestant – Joey has now ventured over to Netflix and appeared on hit US property show Selling Sunset.

The 33-year-old made a brief appearance in the fourth episode of the latest season of Selling Sunset, stunning Netflix viewers as Oppenheim agent Chelsea Lazkani showed him around a luxury property on the market for $5.25 million (£4 million). Describing Joey to the agent, Chelsea said: “My client said one word: sexy. He's from London and he's moving to LA. As you know, people who move to LA want to be in the Hollywood Hills, with the view, and they want to have guests. He's a single guy and he wants to impress the ladies.”

Joey, whose cousin Chloe Sims lives in Los Angeles, posted a clip of his Selling Sunset performance on social media, writing: “This is the outdoor nightclub. I need an indoor one too. #SellingSunset.”

Following his appearance, fans shared their surprise that he managed to appear on the hit reality show, with one person writing on social media: “Lmao why am I seeing Joey Essex on Selling Sunset?”

“Joey Essex is taking over reality TV shows right now. Why are you on Selling Sunset? Ariana what are you doing here??” a second person joked, while a third opined: “First Love Island and now Selling Sunset… is there a show that isn't infected by Joey Essex???” Another person agreed, adding: “It's official, Joey Essex has been on every reality show produced by #SellingSunset.”

Joey rose to fame on The Only Way Is Essex, alongside his sister Frankie Essex and cousin Chloe Sims. Thanks to the show, he has built an impressive career in show business, but is best known for his participation in reality TV shows. He has appeared in shows such as Ex on the Beach, I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Dancing on Ice, Celebs Go Dating, The Jump and Celebrity MasterChef.

However, it seems that Joey is ready to take a break from TV, especially after Love Island. He told The Sun: “I have to be honest and say Love Island was probably my last reality show. To keep the show going and going, I was needed in a lot of situations to move the storyline forward. I mean, I need a doctor right now because my back is killing me from putting up with that show so hard.”
