Two drivers seriously injured in head-on crash

WINNINGEN. Two drivers were seriously injured in an accident near Winningen in the Mayen-Koblenz district.

According to the police, a small car crossed into the oncoming lane shortly before Winningen and collided with an oncoming vehicle.

This caused both vehicles to spin around their own axes. The small car then crashed into a tree.

Both drivers were taken to hospital by ambulance. The cars were so badly damaged that they were no longer drivable. The fire department had to cut down the tree. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
