Cash App Bob Lee's killer confronted him with his sister Khazar Elyassnia: DA

The man accused of murdering Cashapp founder Bob Lee confronted him about his sister allegedly taking drugs and getting “naked” at a party they both attended, court documents show.

Nima Momeni is said to have been furious when his sister Khazar Elyassnia called him crying on April 3, 2023, and asked him to pick her up from the apartment of a suspected drug dealer in San Francisco.

Momeni, 40, believed Lee, 43, failed to protect his sister and that she was the victim of an attempted rape, according to a trial report from the San Francisco District Attorney's Office.

According to a filing obtained by The Post, Khazar and others denied that she had been sexually abused.

Witnesses describe how Elyassnia, a friend named Aranza Villegas and Lee were partying at Jeremy Boivin's house. According to Rolling Stone, Boivin has already been convicted twice for drug possession with intent to distribute.

Lee left, but Elyassnia and Villegas stayed, and Boivin allegedly gave them the drug GHB, a powerful sedative, according to prosecutors.

Villegas said she fainted, but when she got to Elyassnia, she cried and changed her clothes, then called her brother and her husband, Dr. Dino Elyassnia, to pick her up, the summary said.

After picking up his sister, Momeni called Lee and “aggressively questioned him” about the incident, according to a friend who was with him at the time.

Momeni “interrogated Mr. Lee about drug use in the apartment, Khazar's behavior, and particularly about the girls 'getting naked' in Mr. Boivin's apartment,” the prosecutor's statement said.

He also called Villegas that same evening and asked what happened at the party, and she assured him that nothing inappropriate had happened, the letter said.

Nevertheless, Momeni later texted his sister that she needed to speak to a lawyer about her “attempted rape case,” the filing states.

She replied, “Bob never touched me // Nobody did that.”

Momeni also insulted his sister via text message for “f–k[ing] up,” whereupon she called him a “fucking psychopath” and added: “[y]“You scare me,” says the summary.

Despite the apparent argument, Lee and Momeni spent some time at the Elyassnia residence later that evening before leaving together at around 2 a.m. on April 4 last year.

The couple was next seen together in the Rincon Hill neighborhood, where Lee was stabbed three times with a kitchen knife. It was later determined that the knife came from a kit in Elyassnia's home.

Prosecutors plan to present the reports and texts at a court hearing scheduled for Sept. 18 to prove Momeni's hostility toward Lee and a motive for the stabbing attack on him.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, his defense claims that Lee, who was already very drunk at the time, was the attacker who pulled out the knife and that Momeni was merely acting in self-defense.

His team wrote that they would “argue in particular that Mr. Momeni stood firm after Mr. Lee attacked him with a weapon.”

Momeni's lawyers did not respond to The Post's further request for comment.

The prosecutor also plans to introduce a video at trial that shows Momeni making “three stabbing hand gestures” while speaking to a private investigator. The video was recorded six days after Lee's death by a police officer who observed Momeni's movements.

The stabbing motions “correspond directly to the three clearly visible stab wounds Mr. Lee sustained,” said the prosecutor, who claims the video will refute any claim of self-defense.

After Lee's death, Elyassnia asked her brother what had happened between them and said she would “find out what happened to Bob,” the court filing said.

Momeni replied: “I don’t know what [Mr. Lee] “I was just at the bar or the strip club and just came home,” the newspapers say.

The murder trial against Momeni begins on September 18.
