Body of missing woman found in dead-end street – Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather | Indiana Traffic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The body of a missing woman was found Monday afternoon on a dead-end street in the city's southeast area, Indianapolis police said.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called to the 1800 block of Wagner Lane shortly after 1 p.m. Monday. That's a few blocks northwest of the intersection of East Raymond Street and South Sherman Drive.

The woman was reported missing on Monday morning, police said.

Authorities were initially unsure how the woman died, but investigators believe the death occurred sometime over the weekend. The dead end road leads into a wooded area along a former railroad line.
