Hospital owner arrested for blackmailing gynecologist with obscene photos |

Ghaziabad: The 29-year-old owner of a hospital in Sahibabad has been arrested for allegedly cheating a gynecologist of Rs 20 lakh and taking indecent photographs of her to blackmail her into giving him more money.
Accordingly DCP (City) Rajesh Kumar, the complainant, told police on Sunday that the accused, a physiotherapist, cheated her of a share of profits after she invested in an ultrasound machine. In 2023, the complainant had given Rs 20 lakh to the accused to buy the machine, but when she demanded her share of profits after a few months, the accused refused.
“In August 2023, the accused called the complainant to his house where he mixed a sedative in her cold drink to take advantage of her. He then took indecent pictures and also recorded some videos of her. Later, the accused demanded money from her and threatened to publish the pictures. She had given him some money then, but now the accused had again started blackmailing her in the last month,” the DCP said.
An FIR was registered under sections 328 (causing hurt to person by poison etc. with intent to commit offence), 354 (sexual harassment), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 406 (criminal breach of trust) of the Penal Code (IPC).
