Drunk driver fled the scene of the accident

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) – Police say a suspected drunk driver fled the scene of a crash in South Windsor.

They said they arrested Connor Brenan, 30, of Vernon on Friday.

The accident occurred earlier that day at the intersection of Ellington Road and Dart Hill Road.

Police said they found Brenan and his vehicle in Vernon.

They thought he was drunk.

Brenan took a breathalyzer test, which police said he failed.

He was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, evading responsibility and tailgating as a result of an accident.

He was released on $1,000 bail without surety and given a September 23 court date.
