Tirunelveli: Police have a BJP workers In Tirunelveli District for sexually harassing A Agricultural workers on his farm in Therkku KumbilampaduRadhapuram Taluk. The accused, identified as Selvakumar, 40, is the chairman of the economic department of southern Tirunelveli district and owns vegetable farms in the area.
The incident took place on Monday when Selvakumar hired a group of women to pick okra at his farm. Among them was a 35-year-old woman, whom he allegedly called to a private place while she was working there. According to the woman's complaint, Selvakumar misbehaved with her, but she managed to escape and flee from the farm.
The woman lodged a complaint at the Radhapuram police station. Based on her complaint, a case was registered against Selvakumar. However, when the police went to his farm to investigate, they found that he had already left the premises. The police said that Selvakumar was currently absconding and they were looking for him.
