TWO ACCIDENTS AMONG THREE CALLS TO BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT ON SATURDAY – KWHI.com

The Brenham Fire Department responded to two accident reports on Saturday.

Shortly after 2 p.m., firefighters received a report of a traffic accident in the 1800 block of Highway 290 East. When they arrived, they found a single-vehicle accident and assisted EMS with patient care and removing debris from the roadway. The fire department then returned to duty.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m., another traffic accident was reported in the 1600 block of East Tom Green Street. There, emergency crews found a two-vehicle crash with no injuries. They used a dry absorbent on a spill and returned to the station after both vehicles were removed from the roadway.

The department received one more call that day. At 12:15 p.m., they were called to Antique Rose Emporium, 10000 FM 50, where two children were trapped in a vehicle with the engine not running. While Brenham firefighters were en route, members of the Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department arrived on scene and found the door was already unlocked, so they called Brenham firefighters.
