Tinubu’s attacks on Nigerian workers continue – NLC reacts to Ajaero’s arrest by DSS

The Nigerian Labour Congress has confirmed that its president, Joe Ajaero, was arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Monday.

NLC announced this on Monday in a brief statement via its official X-Account.

NLC described the arrest as an attack by the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Nigerian workers.

“The attack on Nigerian workers continues. The President of the NLC, Comrade Joe Ajaero, was arrested and abducted by men of the secret service at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja this morning. He was on his way to an official meeting of the British Trade Union Confederation (TUC) and is now being held at the NSA office,” the statement said.

Recall that Ajaero was arrested by the DSS at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja.
