IDF arrests suspects on Route 6, terrorists arrested – Israel News

Thirteen suspects were arrested by Israeli security forces on Route 6 on Monday and the road was closed to traffic from the Horesh Junction northwards while police investigated the vehicle.

The main suspect arrested on Route 6 is a Palestinian who entered illegally from the West Bank, according to KAN. Intelligence indicates that he was planning an attack.

All suspects were detained for questioning after Rosh Ha'ayin police stopped a shuttle bus carrying 13 illegal residents. A search of the car turned up nothing.

Israeli police announced early Monday afternoon that the incident had been brought under control.

Witness to the incident

A witness who traveled from Beit Shemesh to Jerusalem told The Jerusalem Post that she saw a soldier get out of his vehicle with a window breaker. Other soldiers followed him.

The witness said she saw “a few terrorists being arrested and the trunk of their car being opened and there was something inside that looked like explosives and wires.”

The investigation is being led by the Shin Bet and the border police.
