The eighth season of “Who’s Stealing My Show?” is currently running. In the first of the new episodes, Joko Winterscheidt can claim victory.

Comedian Kurt Krömer, 49, musician Nina Chuba, 25, and podcaster Tommi Schmitt, 35, have to step up their game to pose a threat to Joko Winterscheidt, 45: In the first episode of the eighth season (Sundays, 8:15 p.m., ProSieben and Joyn) of “Who's stealing the show from me?” Neither the three celebrities nor wildcard candidate Chanielle were able to steal the primetime show from the presenter.

“Who’s stealing my show?” Kurt Krömer is not the one in episode one

At the beginning of the episode, which aired on September 8th, Joko's new opponents did not exactly shine with a wealth of knowledge. In the opening game “The Easy Five”, they could hardly score any points. Kurt Krömer was eliminated after the first prize level with just one point. Candidate Chanielle followed shortly afterwards with four points, and musician Nina Chuba also had to leave the show and walk the “Walk of Shame”. So Tommi Schmitt ended up in the final against Joko Winterscheidt with three out of three winning coins – but had to admit defeat to the experienced TV star.

So many people tune in

According to AGF video research, an average of 970,000 viewers between the ages of 14 and 49 watched the show – making it the most popular show among younger audiences on Sunday evening. The market share was 21 percent. In the first episode, viewers were also able to enjoy a reunion with comedian Anke Engelke, 58, who was a celebrity candidate in the third season. They returned to the show for a guest appearance in the game “We are a Telepa team” together with rapper Ski Aggu, 26, presenter Palina Rojinski, 39, and presenter Kai Pflaume, 57.

Who can compete with Joko Winterscheidt?

The 45-year-old will again be in the lead in the second episode of the new season. Will one of the three celebrities or even the wildcard candidate manage to steal the show in the next episode on September 15, 2024? Because the winner can present the show in the next episode according to their own ideas. Winterscheidt then switched to the other side and tried to win back his show. In the finale of the previous seasons, the respective winner was able to look forward to their own cover on a puzzle booklet or to have their forehead immortalized on the “Walk of Brain” with an imprint of their forehead.
