Three celebrities, nobody wins: “Who’s stealing my show?”: This is how the first episode of the new season went

“Who’s stealing my show?” has now entered its eighth round. This time Kurt Krömer, Nina Chuba and Tommi Schmitt are trying to challenge Joko Winterscheidt for the show.

Comedian Kurt Krömer (49), musician Nina Chuba (25) and podcaster Tommi Schmitt (35) still have one step to take if they want to pose a threat to Joko Winterscheidt (45). In the first episode of the eighth season (Sundays, 8:15 p.m., ProSieben and Joyn) of “Who's stealing my show?” Neither the celebrities nor the wildcard participant Chanielle were able to win the show from the presenter.

Kurt Krömer is the first to be eliminated

At the start of the episode, which was broadcast on September 8th, Joko's new challengers showed few shining moments. In the first game, “The Easy Five,” they hardly collected any points. Kurt Krömer said goodbye after the first prize level with just one point. Candidate Chanielle followed soon after with four points, and musician Nina Chuba also had to leave the show and walk the “Walk of Shame.” So Tommi Schmitt was left with three of three winning coins in the final against Joko Winterscheidt – but had to admit defeat to the experienced TV star.

According to AGF video research, an average of 970,000 viewers between the ages of 14 and 49 watch the show – making it the leader among younger audiences on Sunday evening. The market share was 21 percent. In the first episode, viewers also had the pleasure of seeing comedian Anke Engelke (58) again, who was a celebrity participant in the third season. They returned to the show for a guest appearance in the game “We are a Telepa team” together with rapper Ski Aggu (26), presenter Palina Rojinski (39) and presenter Kai Pflaume (57).

Can Joko be defeated in the next episode?

Joko Winterscheidt will also host the second episode of the new season. Will one of the three celebrities or even the wildcard participant succeed in stealing the show from him next Sunday (September 15th)? The winner will be able to design the show in the next episode according to their own ideas. Winterscheidt then switched to the other side and tried to win back his show. In the finale of previous seasons, the winner was able to look forward to a personal cover on a puzzle booklet or immortalize themselves with a forehead print on the “Walk of Brain”.
