Unterfoehring – On Sunday evening, “Who's running the show for me?” back on ProSieben. With a small premiere: for the first time, a season starts in September.

Whether this has anything to do with the NFL kick-off on the rival channel is open to speculation.

Meanwhile, there is laughter and puzzling in the eighth season of the now almost cult show by Joko Winterscheidt (45).

The permanent celebrity candidates in this round are podcaster Tommi Schmitt (35), singer Nina Chuba (25) and comedian Kurt Krömer (49) at the buzzers.

The latter, however, had anything but a good start. With only a single point from the opening category “The Easy Five”, he was already out after the first winning level.

The question that he – like his three fellow quizzers – answered correctly: “Joko needs 4 hours to run 20 kilometers. How many kilometers does he manage in 7 hours?” Who wants to do a quick calculation themselves before scrolling on?

The correct answer is of course “35”.

At this point, Krömer was just one point behind wildcard candidate Chanielle (24, 2 points) from Fulda and was thus eliminated.

Meanwhile, Schmitt and Chuba overtook their competitors – their points were already in double figures. Finally, the two made it to the final after Chanielle was unable to make up her deficit with the games “The (not) fair-weather quiz”, “We are a Telepa team” and “Good time stretching, bad time stretching”.

Things went particularly well for podcaster and presenter Tommi Schmitt, and even Nina Chuba couldn't equalize in the traditional semi-final “I forgot the answer, but I was a prompter”. Schmitt is now in the final without having to play the round himself.

However, under the direction of Katrin Bauerfeind (42), show inventor Winterscheidt regularly pulled his show candidate away with the right answers.

In the end, they decided on a geographical question: “In which countries is Mount Everest?” Tommi Schmitt – up to this point just three points behind Joko – thought it would be Nepal and Pakistan.

However, they are Nepal and China. And Joko Winterscheidt knew that, scored his necessary fifth point and will be back next Sunday at 8.15 p.m. ProSieben and Joyn Host “Who’s Stealing My Show?”
