Cancellation after attack on referee

The Viennese football lower house experienced unpleasant scenes on Sunday: In the Oberliga A match (6th level) between FC Kurd Wien and KSV Ankerbrot, the players lost their tempers during a heated match.

In the second half of the game, a defender from hosts Kurd Wien roughly tackles a KSV Ankerbrot attacker during a counterattack and receives a red card for it.

A teammate does not like the decision at all, he goes straight to the referee and, after a brief argument, headbutts him.

After the referee had recovered, he immediately called off the game. How the case continues is now up to the Vienna Football Association.
