Telangana: Girl becomes pregnant after gang rape in Siddipet district, POCSO case filed – Telangana News

A 9th grade student was repeatedly raped by three youths in Siddipet district of Telangana state.

The incident came to light after the girl's parents came to know about the pregnancy and filed a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case against the accused.

According to G Madhu, deputy superintendent of police, Siddipet, the survivor, a student from a village in Dubakka mandal, was taken to the government hospital in Siddipet by her mother after she fell ill. Medical tests revealed that she was pregnant. Subsequently, officials from the Bharosa Centre were notified and collected detailed information about the girl.

Three youths, including one from Dubakka Mandal and two from Akbarpet-Bhumpalli Mandal, are accused of repeatedly visiting a girl's house in March and April when her mother was not present. They allegedly lured the girl using deceptive tactics and sexually abused her on several occasions.

The girl's mother filed a complaint and the authorities initiated POCSO proceedings against the accused, who were subsequently remanded in judicial custody on Sunday.
