TIME FOR SEX: Survey shows when people get awake

And according to a study by luxury lingerie retailer Pour Moi, Saturday night is the most exuberant evening.

The exact time when people have sex the most? According to the global study, which surveyed 2,000 sexually active adults around the world about their habits between the sheets, it's Saturday at 10:09 p.m.

43% of respondents said that Saturday was their preferred day for sexual intercourse and the day on which the act was most likely to be committed. New York Post reported.

Next comes Friday, which came in second with 22% of respondents, followed by Sunday (10%) and Thursday (6%).

And the first days of the week? For most people, they are not exactly tempting when it comes to romance in the bedroom.

Not surprisingly, Monday was the least popular day of the week for sex: only 2% of respondents rated it as their preferred day.

The study found that late-night sex was most popular, with 10:09 p.m. being the most sexually active minute.

Weekday afternoons were the least likely time for respondents to have sex. More specifically, Mondays at 1:02 p.m. were considered the least sexual moment of the week.

The lingerie experts also analyzed how often the respondents have sex. Almost half of the respondents (48%) said they have sex with another person once a week.

Meanwhile, 19 percent of respondents said they were sexually active twice a week, 13 percent answered “yes” and said they were sexually active more than three times a week, while 7 percent said they were active four times a week.

Only 1% of participants reported being sexually active on a daily basis.

When asked how often adults like to have sex, most, including men between the ages of 25 and 45, said twice a week was ideal. However, women in the same age group had the highest sex drive and said four times a week was ideal.

“As a sexy lingerie retailer, we want to make as many people as possible feel comfortable and confident in their garments, whether alone or with a partner,” said Marina Nicoli, marketing manager at Pour Moi, in a statement to post.

“So it's really interesting to see how intimacy varies from person to person around the globe. But also to know that weekend evenings seem to be the most popular time when people feel most relaxed and ready to enjoy time with their partner.”
