Resident charged after ‘serious’ assault in Peel

Person to appear at Douglas Courthouse tomorrow

Police have confirmed that a local man has been charged in connection with an attack in Peel that left a female victim with “serious injuries.”

It happened at 9.30pm on Wednesday 4 September in an alleyway running parallel to Bluebell Close.

The defendant is due to appear at the Douglas Courthouse tomorrow (September 9), but police have not yet confirmed what charges will be brought against him.

A second person arrested in connection with the investigation has been released on bail while the investigation continues.

A spokesman for the Isle of Man Constabulary said: “We recognise that there is great public interest in these incidents but would politely ask that you refrain from speculating about what happened whilst our investigations continue.”
