The songbird Mordecai and the raccoon Rigby are best friends and work as groundskeepers in the local park. However, the two are very lazy, so they prefer to avoid work, much to the chagrin of their boss Benson. Instead, they get up to all sorts of mischief and look for new ways to pass the time. This usually leads to bizarre situations that those around them then have to pay the price for.
