Ryota Haga dies tragically in a racing accident

Ryota Haga, the son of Noriyuki Haga, died in a racing accident in Japan.

Yamaha has confirmed that Ryota Haga died in a tragic accident during a motorcycle race in Japan.

“Today there is devastating news from the All Japan Road Race Championship regarding Ryota Haga, the son of Noriyuki,” said a post from Yamaha. “We extend our sincere condolences to the Haga family under these tragic circumstances.”

Ryota followed in his father's footsteps and competed in the Japanese Supersport 600 Championship. Ryota was only 21 years old at the time of his death.

Ryota was the youngest son of former World Superbike, MotoGP and British Superbike rider Noriyuki Haga.
