Cranston police arrest man for domestic violence and gun possession

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Cranston police said they arrested a Warwick man on charges of domestic violence and possession of a ghost gun.

Chace Ahlborg, 32, was charged with possession of a firearm without the license or permit required to carry a pistol, possession of large capacity feeding devices, simple assault in a domestic setting and disorderly conduct in a domestic setting.

Police were alerted to a disturbance on Meshanticut Valley Parkway around 11 a.m. on September 7, where Ahlborg allegedly turned himself in to police.

The department said a search of the home found several ghost gun making materials, a fully intact firearm and several other loaded high capacity magazines.

Ahlborg is awaiting arraignment.
