LEVYM condemns terrorist attacks – The Sangai Express

IMPHAL, 8 September
The Lenient Established Volunteer Youth of Manipur (LEVYM) has strongly condemned the attacks by Kuki terrorists on innocent civilians in the state.
In a press release, LEVYM stated that since September 1, Kuki terrorists have carried out several terror attacks using drones and long-range missiles in different parts of Manipur, including Koutruk, Senjam Chirang, Moirang and Jiribam.
“On September 1, Kuki terrorists launched a massive drone attack on Koutruk village, killing a 35-year-old woman named Ngangbam Surbala and injuring many others, including her minor daughter. This was followed on September 5 by a long-range missile attack on a densely populated area in Moirang, killing a 70-year-old man named RK Rabei. On September 7, Kuki militants entered a village in Jiribam and shot dead a sleeping person named Yurembam Kulendra Singha,” it added.
LEVYM regretted that even when Kuki terrorists use state-of-the-art drones and missiles to bomb and kill civilians, security forces do not conduct searches in the mountains and confiscate these weapons.
LEVYM also expressed dismay at the failure of the state and central governments to take concrete action against the Kuki terrorists, adding that these heinous crimes and terrorist attacks on civilians are the result of failed governance.
LEVYM also expressed its solidarity with all the bereaved families and urged the people to come together to protect the territorial integrity of Manipur.
