Teacher: Teacher arrested for sexually assaulting woman | Kochi News

Cochin: Ernakulam Town South Police arrested a Teacher for sexual assault on a Woman in a moving bus. The accused, identified as Kamal, 52, of Ambalamedu, teaches at Kadayirippu Govt School in Ernakulam.
The incident took place on Sunday in a private bus travelling from Fort Kochi to Aluva. Following complaints from the female passenger, the bus staff alerted the police about the incident. According to police, Kamal flashed the passenger and tried to sexually assault her.
Police have filed charges against the accused under Bharatiya Nyay Samshita (BNS) 74 (assault or use of criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and BNS 75 for sexual harassment. Police said the accused will be produced in court on Monday.
