Drama in prefabricated housing district: Boy falls from 4th floor

Hoyerswerda- Tragedy in Hoyerswerda: Early Friday afternoon, a boy (12) fell over the intact railing from the balcony. Fortunately, he survived the Accident. However, he had to be flown to hospital with serious injuries. His life is not in danger.

At around 1:35 p.m., the emergency services were alerted and rushed to the prefabricated building on Ferdinand-von-Schill-Straße.

A young Vietnamese man, seriously injured, lay on the lawn behind the long apartment block.

The rescue helicopter was called, landed nearby and took the boys, who had already been cared for by paramedics, to a hospital.

According to initial interviews, the seriously injured man was the only child in the apartment before he fell from the fourth-floor balcony (about ten meters high!).

Now the police have to clarify what exactly happened on the balcony and how the boy was able to fall down. The local criminal investigation department in Hoyerswerda has begun investigations.

It will also be examined whether the parents have violated their duty of supervision.

Only in April of this year, a girl (4) fell from a window in Zittau, also about ten meters high.

The rescue helicopter also took this type of person to hospital with serious injuries.
