Iran admits to sending missiles to Russia

“If something gets on the battlefield, it will become very obvious very quickly,” he said. “It explodes, it kills Ukrainian civilians, it destroys their infrastructure.”

When the US sent Himars to Ukraine in 2022, they were credited with helping to turn the momentum of the war by attacking Russian command centers and logistics centers behind the front line and forcing the Russian army to retreat.

At least on paper, the largely untested Fath-360, which was only introduced in 2022, appears to be an even more effective weapon.

The maximum speed is Mach 4, compared to Mach 2.5 for the Himar missiles. Fath-360 missiles also carry a 330-pound payload, about twice that of the Himar missiles. Although they are not considered quite as precise, analysts say Fath-360 missiles are less susceptible to interference with their guidance system, a process known as “spoofing.”
