Woman seriously injured after attack in Clonshaugh

A woman remains in hospital in serious condition following a serious attack in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a serious attack at a residential property in Clonshaugh, Dublin 17, at 00:25 on Saturday.

A woman in her 30s was found at the scene of the accident with serious injuries. She was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment and remains in a serious condition.

During a further search, a man in his 40s was arrested and detained at a Garda station in the north of the city, where he may be questioned for up to 24 hours.
