Popular Indian television actor Vikas Sethi dies at the age of 48 – News

In a tragic turn of events, actor Vikas Sethi, known for his iconic roles in popular Indian television dramas, has passed away. The actor, who gained popularity through his appearances in shows such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To HogaAnd Kasauti Zindagi Kayreportedly died of a severe cardiac arrest today. He was 48 years old.

According to a report by Telly ChakkarVikas died in his sleep following a heart attack. He is survived by his wife Jhanvi Sethi and their twin sons. Vikas' family has not yet made an official statement on his death.


Vikas Sethi’s portrayal of Swayam Shergill in From Kahiin to Hoga and Prem Basu in Kasauti Zindagi Kay cemented his place in the Indian television industry. He also made a name for himself in Bollywood with a notable performance in Karan Johar's 2001 hit, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghamwhere he played Robbie, Kareena Kapoor's college friend. His work on the small screen continued with his participation in To Baliye 3, where he competed with his then wife Amita.

Outside of television, Vikas Sethi has also been present in cinema. He appeared in the 2001 film Deewaanapan and more recently in the 2019 Telugu blockbuster “iSmart Shankar”.
