Woman stabbed, man charged with attempted murder, police say

ACADIA PARISH, Louisiana (KLFY) — Authorities said a woman was hospitalized and a man was arrested in connection with a reported stabbing Saturday night.

Estherwood Police Chief Wayne Welsh said officers were alerted to a reported stabbing on Miller Avenue, where they found a woman lying bleeding.

Welsh said the woman was taken to hospital for treatment and a man was arrested in connection with the stabbing.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, is accused of attempted premeditated murder and resisting arrest, according to authorities.
