Vikings LB Ivan Pace Jr. tries it out with Giants before Week 1 game: “We’re about to go crazy”

The Giants will surely be pumped up when they step onto the MetLife Stadium turf on Sunday for their regular season opener against the Vikings, but if they need some bulletin board material, here it is.

When asked how good Big Blue’s offense is against Minnesota’s defense, the second-year linebacker answered Ivan Pace, Jr. (born March 17, 1972) was extremely confident about his team's chances.

“We're about to go crazy, man, we're not even going to meet,” he told KTSP-TV in Minnesota. “We're all about to go crazy, man, it's going to be cool.”

The Giants' offense has struggled to produce results in recent years, but they spent most of the offseason revamping their offensive line, and the group made tremendous progress in training camp and the preseason.

And while Big Blue lost the Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley The Eagles gained some talent in the form of experienced Devin Singletary and large-caliber star LSU receiver Malik Nabers on the outside.

Daniel Jones is also healthy again after suffering a torn ACL last season, and the last time he faced the Vikings defense, he blew them away for 301 yards and two touchdowns to earn the Wild Card round win.

Pace Jr. toned down his comments when reminded of the playmakers of Big Blue's much-improved offense, but remained confident their group would get the job done.

“Yeah, they look good, they definitely looked good out there,” he said. “But I know our defense, I know we have them here in the locker room, so I think we'll be good.”

We'll see how things develop between now and kick-off at 1pm on Sunday.
