Suspect arrested for car theft in Linthicum

GAITHERSBURG, Maryland. – A 34-year-old Silver Spring man was indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury in connection with a fatal collision in April 2023.

Kenneth R. McFadden Baldwin was arrested by Montgomery County Police on September 3, 2024, for vehicular manslaughter – gross negligence and vehicular manslaughter.

The incident occurred on April 28, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., when McFadden Baldwin, driving a red 2017 Ford F-450 tow truck, collided with a silver 2021 Nissan Versa driven by 51-year-old Juan Antonio Lamas Salcido of Gaithersburg. The accident occurred at the intersection of Wightman Road and Aspenwood Lane.

Investigators with the accident reconstruction unit determined that McFadden Baldwin was traveling at least 70 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone when he collided with Lamas Salcido's vehicle, which was attempting to make a left turn. Lamas Salcido was pronounced dead at the scene.

McFadden Baldwin faces numerous charges and is awaiting trial in Montgomery County.

KEARY, NJ — Kearny Police are asking the public for help in locating 57-year-old Fanni Abad, who was last seen on the afternoon of September 4, 2024. Abad was observed leaving her home on Devon Terrace around 1:30 p.m. and walking east toward Schuyler Avenue. She was wearing blue jeans and a white polo shirt.
