Volusia County man who founded special needs program accused of sexually abusing children; more victims possible

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Florida. – A Volusia County man who founded a program for people with special needs is accused of sexually abusing minors, according to the FBI.

James “Jamie” Grover, 62, was arrested Wednesday after special agents searched his home in Deltona and his business at the Seminole Town Center Mall in Sanford. The FBI did not provide information about what was found at either location.

According to the agency, Grover founded the Special Needs Advocacy Program (SNAP), which “provides opportunities to the special needs community.”

“The FBI believes that Grover targeted young boys between 2010 and the present while working with SNAP and serving as a group leader for Autism on the Seas, an international organization that develops cruises for adults and families with special needs,” a press release said.

Anyone who believes they or their child was a victim of Grover, or who has helpful information about the case, is asked to visit www.fbi.gov/snapvictims and fill out a form.
