Drunk MP teacher punishes girl by cutting her hair on Teachers' Day | Trending

A criminal case will be registered against the teacher for his misconduct, said district collector Rajesh Batham. The teacher has been identified as Veer Singh Medha.

How did the incident come to light?

A viral video surfaced on social media showing Medha cutting the little girl's hair. The girl is seen crying incessantly and one of her classmates consoles her. The incident took place in a government primary school in Semalkhedi. According to reports, the drunk teacher also got into an argument with a villager.

Following the release of the viral video, Deputy Commissioner of Tribal Affairs Ranjana Singh ordered Medha's suspension.

Villagers tried to intervene:

A local resident who lives near the school rushed there after hearing the girl crying. When he arrived, he saw that the teacher, in his drunken state, was busy cutting the girl's hair.

The person reportedly confronted the teacher, who claimed that he did this to punish the children for not studying. The villager then warned him not to cut the girl's hair and told him he would record a video.

The teacher allegedly did not want to listen to him and said: “You can shoot the video, but no one can harm me.”

However, the video soon caught the attention of people, including the tax officer, who ordered that the authorities should initiate an investigation into the matter and issued a suspension order for the teacher. Based on the girl's statement during the preliminary investigation, the tax officer was relieved of his duties. The tax officer also confirmed that a case would be filed against Medha.
